Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline. Today, Flybe operates 211 routes with 83 aircraft and carriers more than 8.5 million passengers each year. Not only are we the largest regional airlines in Europe but we have also developed our Aviation Services engineering division into one of the largest facilities in Europe specializing in regional aircraft. In 2011, we have expanded the business into continental Europe through our joint venture in Finland. In addition, we have also built and opened our new Training Academy, another significant investment and development opportunity.
Making flying Better "Making flying better" encompasses the entire flying experience - from the choice our mutual passengers make when they book their journey, through an enhanced airport experience right through to the flight itself. We have successfully started to introduce our new Embraer 175 aircraft into the fleet. These modern 88 seater jets improve the flying experience and we are receiving great review from our passengers. We also launched our Manchester Hub concept which is proving to be a huge hit with passengers taking advantage of the improved frequency and increased connectivity via Manchester both onto connecting Flybe services but also with our partners as a long haul alternative to Heathrow.
